About You
A dynamic individual who can multi‑task successfully under pressure, with natural leadership qualities, enthusiasm, and the drive to push forward and develop existing relationships with suppliers and customers.
Transport Responsibilities
- Licence maintenance & compliance for the commercial fleet.
- Daily route planning of the commercial fleet.
- Vehicle maintenance and legal compliance for the commercial fleet.
- Maintenance of full load and groupage transport from the head office site.
- Key account transport planning and execution.
- Procurement for commercial vehicle replacement.
Transport Qualifications
- Transport Management CPC.
- Minimum 3 years of transport experience in the FMCG sector.
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
- Working knowledge of RTR and WTD legislation.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Strong professional communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in multi‑drop transport operations.
- Managerial experience in the haulage sector.
- Full UK driving licence / Class 2 HGV licence.
Logistics Responsibilities
- Liaising with internal departments and senior management.
- Budget maintenance.
- Monitoring and tracking of KPI management.
- Monitoring training requirements.
- Staff management & appraisals.
- Maintaining health & safety standards and protocols.
- Maintaining third‑party logistics for parcel and pallet networks.
- Vehicle maintenance & compliance for off‑site vehicles.
- Maintenance & compliance of manual handling equipment.
- Procurement & replacement for off‑site vehicles & manual handling equipment.
Logistics Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of logistics experience in the FMCG sector.
