Pertemps are recruiting for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's. This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.

Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:

  • 4 on 4 off
  • Weekdays
  • Weeknights

Guaranteed 9.6 hours per shift minimum pay with OT paid out after 9.6 hours each day.

The successful Class 1 Driver will:

  • Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
  • Have a valid tacho and DQC card
  • Have a positive can do attitude

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:

  • Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
  • Trailer swaps and backloads

You will receive:

  • Nights - 18.75 per hour
  • Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - 28.12 per hour
  • Days - 16.38 per hour
  • Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - 24.57 per hour
