A small, welcoming and well-established nursing home on the outskirts of Dumfries is currently seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Care Assistant to join their dedicated team on a permanent basis.

  • Competitive hourly pay rate of 15.10 per hour, equivalent to 34,548.80 per annum

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of person-centred care are delivered to residents. You will lead by example, supporting and guiding the care team to provide compassionate, consistent care in line with best practice, regulatory standards, and individual care plans.

What we are looking for in a Senior Care Assistant:

  • N/SVQ Level 3 qualified (or working towards)
  • Medication training is desirable (training can be provided)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A positive, proactive approach with a genuine passion for care
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and confident working as part of a close‑knit team
  • Ability to support, mentor, and motivate junior staff
