Mackenzie Fit Recruitment are looking for a dedicated Waste Operative to join our client's team at their recently refurbished Loanhead facilities. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe collection, handling, and disposal of waste materials coming from construction sites and Council renovations. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining good health and safety standards within the operation.
Pay: 12.71 per hour plus 19.07 per hour for overtime after 40 hours
Hours: 7.45am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday plus additional shifts as required
The role leads to permanent employment after 13 weeks with weekly pay and ongoing, long-term employment.
Duties:
- Collect and transport waste materials from designated locations to appropriate disposal sites.
- Operate waste management machinery and equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
- Perform routine inspections of waste containers and equipment for maintenance needs.
- Assist in sorting recyclable materials from construction waste to promote sustainability efforts.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Report any incidents or hazards encountered during operations to the supervisor.
