We are seeking a reliable and proactive individual for a unique, niche role based at a Hospital site. This position combines the responsibilities of a Delivery Driver and a Caretaker, playing a vital part in supporting local healthcare infrastructure by ensuring essential items reach care home residents safely and efficiently.

Role Overview

  • Pay Rate: 15.00 per hour.
  • Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract.
  • Working Pattern: 3 days per week, 8 hours per day (24 hours total).
  • Sector: Healthcare / Facilities Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Logistics & Delivery: Drive to various care homes within the local area to deliver essential equipment and supplies from the hospital hub.
  • Site Support: Assist with minor caretaking duties at the hospital site to ensure a safe and tidy environment.
  • Asset Care: Responsible for the basic upkeep and cleanliness of the delivery vehicle, reporting any maintenance requirements promptly.
  • Service Standards: Act as a professional representative of the hospital, delivering items with care and providing excellent service to care home staff.

Requirements

  • Essential:
    • Driving Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is required.
    • Compliance: The successful candidate must undergo an Enhanced DBS check due to the nature of the sites visited.
    • Personal Attributes: You must be reliable, trustworthy, and comfortable working independently.
  • Desirable:
    • Previous experience in a mobile facilities or multi-site delivery role.
    • Basic computer literacy for logging deliveries and managing schedules.
