Our client is one of the world leading manufacturers of special‑purpose machinery for companies in the UK and overseas. Staffbase has been appointed to recruit for the position of Multiskilled Engineer Electrical.
Salary: Basic salary 45K - 50K, plus overtime and benefits.
The Role: Working as part of a small team you will be responsible for building, testing, installation, commissioning and service/repair work on machinery in the UK and overseas. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with the design and build of electrical control panels for bespoke machinery.
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly of components, gearboxes, motors, pumps, etc.
- 3‑phase electrical fault finding and repair on motors, servos, 415v and 24v circuits.
- PLC controls.
Candidate: You will be a competent multiskilled engineer with excellent electrical and mechanical engineering skills. You will have a recognised electrical engineering qualification and ideally previous experience in the installation, service and repair of automated machinery. You will demonstrate good customer service and communication skills and have a friendly disposition. You will be prepared to undertake occasional (3‑4 trips per annum) UK and international travel as part of your work routine.
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 37.5 hours + overtime; occasional weekend work.
Benefits: Basic salary negotiable 45K - 50K + OT. Phone, laptop. All expenses paid. 33 days annual leave. Pension.
