A well-established and growing civil engineering contractor is looking to appoint a high-calibre Project Manager to deliver an £8 million commercial build scheme in Liverpool. This project consists of a large industrial/warehouse (shed) build and is a key scheme for a new client, making it critical that the appointed Project Manager has a strong reputation for delivering successful projects and running well-organised, high-performing sites.
The Role
- Full responsibility for the delivery of a 52-week £8m scheme from inception through to completion
- Leading all site operations, programme management, and resource planning
- Managing subcontractors and site teams to drive performance and productivity
- Maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality, and compliance
- Acting as the main point of contact for the client and key stakeholders
- Ensuring the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
The Candidate
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering/commercial or industrial builds
- Strong technical background across groundworks, infrastructure, and structural packages
- Track record of successfully delivering projects of similar value and complexity
- Known for being a hands-on leader who can take control of a site and deliver results
- Strong client-facing ability, particularly important for building a new client relationship
- Organised, driven, and confident in managing programmes and teams
