The Role
As Building Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for general building projects valued up to 2 million. You will be involved from early enquiry stage through to tender submission, working closely with commercial, design, and operational teams to ensure robust pricing and successful bid outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed cost estimates for general building projects up to 2 million
- Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documents
- Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations
- Producing Bills of Quantities and pricing schedules
- Assessing project risks and identifying value engineering opportunities
- Supporting bid submissions and tender presentations
- Working collaboratively with project and commercial teams
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market rates and construction methods

- Proven experience in estimating within the construction or general building sector
