Class 1 Personnel are recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers on behalf of a national parcel delivery company based in the Chelmsford area. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and professional drivers looking for ongoing trunking work with flexible shift patterns, competitive pay rates, and minimal manual handling.

Following a successful driving assessment, drivers will be responsible for transporting parcels and mail between distribution centres nationwide.

Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain:

The Role

  • Class 1 trunking work between depots and distribution centres
  • Minimal manual handling
  • Average shift length: 9-10 hours
  • Shifts planned and offered 1 week in advance
  • Early morning, day, and night shifts available
  • Guaranteed minimum of 7.25 hours per shift
  • Ongoing temporary work
Pay Rates

From £20.53 per hour to £24.40 per hour depending on times worked.

Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 HGV Driver (C+E) licence
  • Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience
  • Minimum 180 driving days completed within the last 12 months
  • Maximum 3 penalty points
  • Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Assessment & Vetting

All successful applicants will be required to:

  • Complete a 4-hour driving assessment
  • Pass an infringement check
  • Complete a full vetting process including a DBS check
