A well-established multi-site food manufacturer is looking to appoint a Process Technical Lead to take full ownership of a new factory at their Lichfield site. This is a brand new role within the business and would suit a Process Technical Lead or Process Engineer seeking a role where they can not only implement new processes but also highlight areas for improvement within existing systems. You will be an expert within food manufacturing technical processes and be the technical bridge across technical, production and engineering.
The Role
- Lead process optimisation to ensure operational integration.
- Manage processes to ensure safe and compliant production, from raw material control through to processing and packaging.
- Create standardised processes to drive consistency, efficiency and throughput.
- Lead investigations into deviations and food safety risks.
- Support new product trials and scale-up validation.
- Be the technical authority for process failures by highlighting root cause and drive corrective actions.
- Be the technical process expert, promoting cross functional and collaborative working, alongside coaching & training.
About You
- You will be an expert within food manufacturing technical processes and be the technical bridge across technical, production.
- Established in a senior technical role, focussed on process management and within food manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP and CCP validation.
- Confident communicator who is able to positively influence.
- Experienced across the full food processing cycle.
- Practical approach with strong factory floor visibility.
- Confident in gathering technical data to highlight process issues and drive continuous improvement across all processes.
