Position: Locum Occupational Therapist – Children and Young People
Pay Rate: £43.80 per hour (Limited/Umbrella)
Working Pattern: Hybrid (one day per week in the office, home visits, WFH available)
Location: 32 Rushey Green, Catford, London, SE6 4JF
Overview: To provide a Community Occupational Therapy Service for physically disabled children and young people with multiple and complex disabilities, including those with learning disabilities and mental health needs, who are living in or are the responsibility of the London Borough of Lewisham.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of children and young people with complex needs.
- Carry out occupational therapy assessments within the community and home environment.
- Recommend and arrange appropriate equipment and adaptations.
- Provide support and advice to families and carers.
- Liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and reports.
- Support positive outcomes for children and young people to maximise independence and safety.
Essential Requirements:
- Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience working within paediatric/community occupational therapy.
- Knowledge of equipment and adaptations.
- Experience working with children and young people with complex disabilities.
- Strong communication and assessment skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload.
