Hales Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and safety conscious Forklift Driver to join their busy team based in Leiston. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment, supporting the movement, loading, and organisation of materials across the site.
Key Responsibilities- Operating a counterbalance forklift to safely move, load, and unload materials
- Supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including stock movement and organisation
- Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
- Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
- Maintaining accurate stock locations and reporting discrepancies
- Ensuring the yard and warehouse remain clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards
- Following all company health & safety procedures
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets
- Valid counterbalance forklift licence (in date)
- C1 Licence
- Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or industrial environment
- Confident operating a forklift in busy or confined spaces
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and manual handling practices
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
