Location: Leiston

Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Mon - Thurs 07:30am - 5pm, Fri 07:00am - 2pm

Term: Temp To Perm

Salary: £14.21 P/H

Hales Group are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and safety conscious Forklift Driver to join their busy team based in Leiston. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced yard and warehouse environment, supporting the movement, loading, and organisation of materials across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating a counterbalance forklift to safely move, load, and unload materials
  • Supporting daily yard and warehouse operations, including stock movement and organisation
  • Assisting with goods in and goods out processes
  • Picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Maintaining accurate stock locations and reporting discrepancies
  • Ensuring the yard and warehouse remain clean, tidy, and compliant with safety standards
  • Following all company health & safety procedures
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets

What We are Looking For

  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence (in date)
  • C1 Licence
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, yard, or industrial environment
  • Confident operating a forklift in busy or confined spaces
  • Strong awareness of safety procedures and manual handling practices
  • Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
  • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when required
