We are recruiting compassionate Care Assistants to join a smaller, historic luxury retirement home in a tranquil rural setting near Saxmundham. This 17th-century home set in six acres of beautiful woodland accommodates approximately 20 residents and provides a warm, person-centred environment where staff are supported to deliver high-quality, tailored care to each individual. The service has strong links with the local community, with transport via local bus services and taxis, keeping residents connected to the town. The home offers long-term, short-term, respite, and holiday care, with a dedicated team focused on maintaining residents' rights and wellbeing 24 hours a day. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a unique, historic, luxury rural environment where your contribution to residents' lives will be valued every day.
The Role
- As a Care Assistant, you will support residents with their daily needs, promoting comfort, dignity, and independence.
- Providing personal care and assistance with mobility and daily routines.
- Supporting residents with meals and hydration.
- Encouraging social and emotional wellbeing.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents' condition.
- Driving residents when required and supporting local community outings.
