We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Handyperson / Maintenance Operative to join their friendly team. This is a varied role responsible for the general upkeep, repair, and maintenance of the care home facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe, well-presented, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Due to the rural location of the site, candidates must be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle. This opportunity could particularly suit somebody currently working within a trade environment who is looking to move into a stable, single-site role that offers long-term security and avoids the disruption of being "rained off" or constantly travelling between jobs.
Handyperson / Maintenance Operative Role: As a Handyperson / Maintenance Operative, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across the care home. The role would suit somebody with a strong all-round maintenance background who takes pride in their work and enjoys working within a caring and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general building maintenance and repairs
- Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and decorating works
- Conduct routine health & safety and compliance checks
- Maintain the external grounds and communal areas
- Liaise with external contractors where required
- Ensure maintenance issues are resolved efficiently and safely

Essential:
- Previous experience within a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role
- Good all-round practical maintenance skills
- Full UK driving licence and own vehicle
