TeacherActive is proud to work in a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Northfield that caters for pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role supports children across primary and secondary age groups, addressing SEMH needs and challenging behaviour on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEMH needs across primary and secondary ages
- Manage challenging behaviour in the classroom or alternative setting
- Build strong relationships with pupils who require additional support
Qualifications
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs
- Experience supporting both primary and secondary aged pupils
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient and calm approach
- A can-do attitude and willingness to support across the setting
