About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist Vehicle Fitter with strong production leadership skills to join our clients growing team. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for high-quality campervan conversions while also supporting and leading production activity on the shop floor. You will play a key role in ensuring builds are completed efficiently, safely, and to an exceptional standard, while helping to guide and motivate a small team of fitters and technicians.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out full or partial conversions including insulation, cabinetry, electrics, plumbing, and fittings
  • Read and interpret build plans, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Lead and support day-to-day production activities
  • Allocate tasks and help manage workflow to meet deadlines
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality control
  • Troubleshoot build issues and support problem-solving on the shop floor
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
  • Assist with continuous improvement of build processes and efficiency

About You

  • Proven experience in specialist vehicle fitting, vehicle conversions, or similar joinery/coachbuilding work
  • Strong understanding of workshop production environments
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or build setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Practical problem-solver with a proactive attitude
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
