Conrad Consulting is partnering with a leading multidisciplinary construction and infrastructure consultancy to recruit an experienced Lead / Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of major infrastructure and energy projects across the Essex and Kent region. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing infrastructure team delivering high-profile capital programmes across utilities, energy and civil engineering sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of complex infrastructure schemes, working closely with clients, contractors and project delivery teams on nationally significant projects.
The Role
- Leading commercial and cost management activities across infrastructure projects
- Administering NEC3 / NEC4 contracts, including compensation events and change control procedures
- Preparing cost plans, valuations, forecasts and commercial reporting
- Monitoring project performance, budgets and commercial risk
- Supporting procurement and contract management activities
- Building strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams to support successful project delivery
Requirements
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, utilities, energy or civil engineering sectors
- Strong working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 contracts
- Experience delivering major infrastructure or capital delivery programmes
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline
- MRICS qualified, or working towards chartership, would be advantageous
- Strong communication and reporting skills
