An opportunity has arisen for a Laser Operator to join a well-established engineering business permanently. With regular overtime paid at time & a half, training and development, and free parking. They are a family-run business in the Normanton area and are one of the UK's leading fabrication companies, who have an international reputation for sheet metal and fabrication, combining experience with innovation to design and deliver the most up-to-date, reliable and sustainable products.

Key Responsibilities of the Laser Operator:

  • Operating an Amada Laser Machine.
  • Working with thicknesses from 0.5 mm to 5 mm.
  • Working with materials such as Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium.
  • Carrying out manual lifting.
  • Reading from engineering drawings.

We would be keen to speak to individuals who possess:

  • Previous experience running a Laser Machine.
  • Comfortable and experienced working within a fabrication environment.
  • Previous experience reading from engineering drawings.
  • Previous experience working with CNC Press Brakes, CNC Laser, Bystronic, Amada or Edward Pearson CNC Machines.

Working hours for the Laser Operator:

Sunday-Thursday: 22:00-06:00

In Return, the Laser Operator will receive:

  • Hourly rate: £18.50 Per Hour.
  • Overtime paid at a premium.
  • Genuine opportunity for progression.
  • 29 days holiday, including bank holidays.
