The predicted salary is between 29 - 31 £ per hour.

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time Nursery Practitioner role. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about Early Years development and wants to make a real difference in children’s learning, wellbeing, and growth.

The nursery focuses on supporting children through play-based learning, routine, and structured activities, helping to build confidence, independence, and early social skills. The team is friendly, supportive, and committed to creating a positive environment for both children and staff.

The Role

  • Employment Type: Agency (Long Term / Temp to Perm)
  • Days Required: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:00am to 6:00pm (Full Time)

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in supporting children’s early development, ensuring they feel safe, engaged, and supported throughout the day.

The Ideal Candidate will:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years (Essential)
  • Experience working within a nursery or Early Years setting
  • A strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • A caring, patient, and energetic approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
  • A willingness to get involved and contribute to a positive environment.

Your Main Duties:

  • Support children throughout the day in learning and play activities
  • Assist with the delivery of age-appropriate, engaging activities
  • Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional and educational development
  • Assist with personal care routines, including feeding, hygiene, and sleep (where required)
  • Build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
  • Follow all safeguarding and health & safety procedures
  • Work as part of a team to maintain a high-quality nursery environment
