Supply Desk is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Twyford (RG10) area to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic KS2 Class Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator to join a thriving school community and make a meaningful impact across Key Stage 2. This role would suit an engaging, confident, and adaptable teacher with a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, who is committed to raising attainment and inspiring a love of learning.
The Role
As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic progress, confidence, and independence, preparing them for the next stage of their education.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering engaging, creative, and differentiated lessons in line with the KS2 national curriculum
- Supporting progress in core subjects (reading, writing, and maths) with a focus on progression and mastery
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using data-driven insights to inform planning and targeted interventions
- Supporting pupils of varying abilities, including those with SEN
- Promoting resilience, independence, and critical thinking skills
- Building strong relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider school team
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Desirable Experience teaching within Key Stage 2
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A creative, engaging, and structured teaching style
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work full-time in the Twyford (RG10) area from September
Desirable
- Experience teaching in Upper or Lower KS2
- Understanding of SATs preparation and assessment frameworks
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEN)
- Knowledge of pupil progress tracking and data analysis
- Commitment to continuous professional development
