We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialist or Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
- Work collaboratively with patients, families, caregivers, and other health professionals to provide holistic care.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions using innovative techniques and approaches.
- Provide specialist advice and training to colleagues, carers, and community organisations.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with professional and organisational standards.
- Participate in supervision, continuing professional development, and reflective practice.
- Advocate for equitable access to services and promote inclusive practices within all interactions.
Qualifications
- Relevant degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent qualification).
- Registration with the appropriate professional regulatory body.
- Specialist or Highly Specialist experience in a relevant clinical area.
- Strong understanding of communication disorders across the lifespan.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Experience working in diverse and inclusive environments is highly desirable.
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet varied cultural and individual needs.
Day-to-Day
In your daily role, you will engage in client assessments, plan and deliver therapy sessions, and collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams. You will participate in meetings, case reviews, and training workshops.
