Are you an experienced, highly motivated Teaching Assistant with a passion for early literacy? Do you have proven success delivering the Read Write Inc. phonics programme? On behalf of a highly regarded academy in Newham, our agency is seeking a dedicated and proactive Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team for the upcoming academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to make a measurable impact on young children's learning and development in a supportive, collaborative primary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Phonics Delivery: Planning and delivering daily Read Write Inc. phonics sessions to a designated group, ensuring strong fidelity to the programme and excellent pupil progress.
- Classroom Support: Working closely within a KS1 classroom and across the wider phase to support teaching and learning, helping all pupils achieve their full potential.
- Assessment & Collaboration: Partnering with class teachers and the phonics lead to assess student progress, adapt learning provisions, and maintain exceptionally high standards in early reading and writing.
- Wider School Duties: Supporting the school's OPAL (Outdoor Play and Learning) provision by supervising outdoor playtimes. You will help foster a positive, engaging, safe, and inclusive environment where active participation is encouraged for all children.

- Experience: Proven, hands‑on experience working within a Key Stage 1 setting.
- Specialist Knowledge: Completed Read Write Inc. phonics training with a confident, skilled track record of high‑quality delivery.
