We are currently recruiting for two Footwear Technicians to join a well-established organisation within a specialist product testing laboratory environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within technical testing and quality assurance, working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine physical testing of footwear, materials, and components using laboratory equipment
  • Operate testing equipment in accordance with health & safety procedures and industry standards
  • Accurately record, analyse, and report test results to strict deadlines
  • Support the maintenance and organisation of the laboratory and storage areas
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities within the department
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and accreditation requirements (e.g., UKAS)
  • Maintain up-to-date training and competency records

About You

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science (Level 3 or equivalent desirable)
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and reliable results
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive, flexible approach with a positive “can-do” attitude

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience working within a laboratory or testing environment
  • Knowledge of footwear construction, materials, or product testing

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
