A leading technical services organisation is looking to recruit a Footwear Technologist to support its growing customer base. This role involves testing products to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, delivering technical guidance, and representing the business through customer engagement and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Review test results and discuss findings with clients
- Prepare technical reports and respond to customer enquiries
- Deliver presentations, seminars and webinars
- Ensure compliance with quality systems and health & safety standards
- Support the development and training of junior technical staff
- Deliver internal and external training programmes
- Contribute to technical articles and industry publications
- Participate in client visits and promote services
About You
Essential
- Good understanding of physical testing methods
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Experience in a customer-facing role
- Confident presenting to groups
- Excellent time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively
- High level of motivation and initiative
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel as required
Desirable
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. science or maths degree)
- Experience within the footwear or related industry
- Exposure to sales, marketing, or business development activities
- Professional training/qualification in relevant technical disciplines (or working towards)
- Full UK driving licence
