The Role

As a Junior Mechanical Estimator, you will support the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders, while gaining hands‑on experience working closely with clients, suppliers, and internal departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of mechanical estimates for HVAC and Plumbing packages
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Supporting with take‑offs, cost planning, and supplier enquiries
  • Assisting senior estimators with pricing and tender submissions
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations
  • Supporting the commercial and project teams during project handover
  • Maintaining accurate records and estimating documentation

Requirements

  • Previous experience within mechanical estimating or an M&E background
  • Basic understanding of HVAC and Plumbing systems
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work within a team and manage deadlines effectively
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages
