The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Irlam area. We are looking for experienced Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours and Pay

  • Monday to Friday, 05:00-06:00am start, finishing around 16:00pm-17:00pm.
  • Pay Rate: £14.10 per hour PAYE with an additional earning potential of up to £300 per month.
  • Location: Irlam, M44.
  • Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering flooring items (carpets, vinyls etc.) to commercial and residential areas in an 18 tonne vehicle.
  • Making approximately 15-30 drops per day around the North West area.
  • Handling heavy lifting as part of the physical demands of the role.
  • Participating in a week’s paid training and induction (including assessment) with another driver.
  • Ensuring vehicles are operated safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Carrying out vehicle checks before and after each run.
  • Adhering to all road transport, WTD, and health & safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
  • At least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
  • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • Clean licence.
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Physical fitness and capability to handle manual handling.
