About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector with a background in composite or carbon fibre manufacturing. Our client produces high-performance carbon fibre components for the automotive industry, including F1 teams, hypercar manufacturers, and the medical sector. You will be part of a small, dedicated team responsible for inspecting composite components and assemblies to ensure they meet stringent quality and engineering standards. The Quality Inspector position is a business critical role.
N.B: For this role, we are unable to consider applications from those candidates seeking visa sponsorship.
Key Responsibilities – What a typical day is
- Inspection of carbon fibre and or lacquer / paint standards both mid process and prior to dispatch
- Operate precision measuring tools including CMM's and Surface testers.
- Inspect high quality carbon fibre automotive and racing parts to customer specifications.
- Record all non-conformance's on internal quality management database
- Identify defects such as fibre misalignment, surface irregularities and bonding issues.
- Ensure all measuring equipment is kept in good working order and calibrated correctly
- Communicate all non-conformance's to appropriate personnel
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment
Qualifications / Experience
- Previous experience in a quality inspection role including handling non-conformance's is essential
- Have experience in a busy / high pressure industry
- Solid understanding of inspection processes and quality standards
- Experience of working with composites will be a distinct advantage
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential
- Good communication and written skills
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing workloads.
