BDS Recruitment are working with a Local Authority for a Senior Surveyor to work across the Ipswich area. This is a permanent opportunity with a salary of £50,000 per annum. This is a hybrid working role: 2 days at the office and 3 days home working.
Specifically, this post will be responsible for:
- Acting as one of the Building Surveyors being accountable for the delivery of various work streams and managing a team of surveyors.
- Ensuring all performance and service targets are met within the Building Surveying Service and developing staff to their full potential.
- Ensuring all activity is completed to the standards expected.
Examples of surveying work include:
- Surveying housing defects
- Managing damp and mould in line with Awaab's Law
- Party wall agreements
- Tenant own improvements
- Disrepair claims
- Boundary wall disputes
- Energy performance certificates
- Improvements and planned surveys
- Designing and specifying works
- Project managing work
- Feasibility studies
- Stock condition
- Managing an adaptations service
Criteria:
- A degree qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional organisation or qualitative experience
- Detailed knowledge of Building Surveying and Building Regulations
- Previous experience
