An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join a leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a major renewable energy and civil engineering project in the Scottish Highlands. This nationally significant infrastructure scheme forms part of a long-term UK energy investment programme supporting the resilience of the UK electricity network and includes complex tunnelling, heavy civils, concrete structures, infrastructure, and associated enabling works.
The successful candidate will support engineering delivery and quality assurance across a defined section of works, ensuring construction activities are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications and programme requirements. Key Responsibilities:- Provide engineering control and setting out for construction works
- Maintain accurate site records, quality documentation, and engineering outputs
- Support permits, task briefings, and construction documentation processes
- Contribute to short-term construction programmes and site planning activities
- Support temporary works coordination and ensure compliance with approved designs and procedures
- Work closely with subcontractors and site teams to ensure works are delivered to specification
- Monitor health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance across site activities
- Undertake inspections, checks, and quality assurance activities in line with ITPs
- Assist with identifying and resolving design or construction issues
- Support the development of junior engineers and site staff where required

- Good understanding of health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on site
- CSCS card and relevant engineering qualification expected
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Practical, accurate, and able to work within a fast-paced site environment
The project is based near Inverness, Scotland. Accommodation and travel support can be provided for candidates relocating or travelling to site.
