We are currently recruiting for a Processing Site Supervisor to join our client on a major earthworks project. This is an opportunity to be part of a large-scale, technically challenging project within the groundworks and quarrying sector, working in a fast-paced and rewarding site environment. This role offers the chance to step into a hands-on supervisory position where you will play a key part in site performance, safety, and delivery. Ideally, candidates will be based locally; however, accommodation can be provided if required.
The Role
As a Processing Site Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of site operations, ensuring plant and personnel are working safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements. This is a practical role that may also involve hands-on duties when needed. Please note: Crushing & Screening experience is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations, including plant and personnel
- Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in line with HSE standards
- Supervise crushing and screening operations to maximise output and efficiency
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance
- Liaise with management and client representatives on site performance
- Attend and contribute to site briefings and safety meetings
- Monitor plant performance, carry out inspections, and report defects
- Ensure all contractors comply with site procedures and RAMS
- Complete daily reports, allocation sheets, and production records
- Maintain accurate records, including inventory and site activity logs
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within crushing, screening, or similar environments
- Strong understanding of plant operations and basic maintenance
- Experience producing and working with RAMS
- Background within construction, quarrying, or earthworks
- Good awareness of commercial and contractual requirements
Requirements
- Relevant CPCS/CSCS cards
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- Excavator or loading shovel ticket (desirable)
- Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills, including MS Office / MS 365
- Proactive and safety-focused mindset
