Hourly Pay Rate: 23.50 PAYE / 29.98 Umbrella (+ 1.28 P/H Umbrella retainer)
Shifts: Minimum of 50 hours a week.
Shift Pattern: Mon - Fri 07:00 - 17:00
Duration: 3 Months Minimum (potential for extension).

Position Summary
Working at a live Rail Depot we require Mechanical Modifications Technicians who will be engaged for the implementation of a sanding box modification on the Class.
- Carrying out modifications primarily on the underframes of the vehicles and interior aspects
- Renewal of fasteners (washers, nuts and bolts)
- Tightening of threaded fasteners (torque loading)
- Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure work completed to correct standard
- Carrying out work recording via both paperwork and computer
- Protection of components
Personal Profile
- Minimum requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent award in a Mechanical discipline or similar
- Experience of mechanical works on vehicles such as trains, aircraft, marine vessels, plant, agricultural machinery, cars, trucks or buses
