Our client has been installing and maintaining vertical gardens for over 30 years. They pride themselves on delivering high-quality, innovative and bespoke vertical gardens across a range of prestigious commercial and residential projects in and around London. Their work combines technical expertise with a strong commitment to craftsmanship, reliability, and excellent client service.

They are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyperson to support our installation and maintenance teams across multiple sites in London. This is a practical, hands-on role requiring strong general maintenance skills, particularly in irrigation systems, guttering, and general plumbing.

The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of how irrigation systems work, including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs. While plant knowledge is not essential, an interest in horticulture would be beneficial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation of the irrigation systems for new projects
  • Installation of guttering for new projects
  • Carry out fault finding on irrigation systems on previous projects if and where necessary
  • Undertake general handyman tasks including fixing, assembling, and basic carpentry and installation of aluminium backing boards
  • Use tools and equipment safely and effectively on-site
  • Support site set-up and breakdown, including moving materials and equipment
  • Work across multiple sites, ensuring high standards of workmanship
  • Adhere to health and safety requirements at all times
Skills and ExperienceEssential:
  • Proven experience in a handyperson, maintenance, or similar role
  • Good working knowledge of irrigation systems (or willingness to learn quickly)
  • Experience with guttering, drainage, or plumbing-related tasks
  • Confident using a wide range of tools and equipment
  • Practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred)
Desirable:
  • Basic knowledge of plants or horticulture
  • Experience working on commercial or residential sites
  • IPAF, PASMA, or other relevant certifications
