TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Brentwood, who are looking to appoint SEND Learning Support Assistants. These schools are committed to creating nurturing learning environments where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential, with supportive Senior Leadership Teams and strong inclusive values throughout.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will be supporting pupils across various primary year groups with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language difficulties, providing both 1:1 and small group support throughout the school day.
The successful SEND Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience supporting children with SEND within a school or care setting
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Experience working with ASD, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs
- A positive can-do attitude
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
