Eden Brown Synergy is currently looking for an experienced Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Children's Services team for Bexley Council.

Responsibilities:

  • Chair statutory reviews for Looked After Children, ensuring plans are effective, timely, and focused on achieving positive outcomes.
  • Provide independent scrutiny and oversight of care planning to ensure compliance with legislation and statutory guidance.
  • Challenge and elevate concerns where delays or poor practice impact on children's outcomes.
  • Ensure the child's voice is central to all planning and review processes.
  • Monitor the quality and effectiveness of services provided to children in care.
  • Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to promote stability and permanence for children.
  • Maintain accurate and timely case records and reports.

Working Pattern: Hybrid working.

Pay Rate: £45.20 p/h Umb.

Essential Requirements:

  • Social Work Qualification – Degree or equivalent.
  • Significant experience as an Independent Reviewing Officer or within a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of LAC processes, care planning, and relevant legislation.
  • Social Work England Registration.
  • Ability to provide effective challenge and ensure high standards of practice.
