Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Production Operator. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, this is an important role within the business. The role is full time and permanent and offers the successful candidate an exciting career with a growing business which can offer career progression.

Job Objective

The Operator role requires you to run production machines, ensuring the machines are loaded with material at one end, checking the machine runs smoothly throughout all the processes and quality checking the finished products at the end of the machine.

Key Accountabilities

  • To manufacture products in a safe and efficient way
  • To run lines to allow an hourly quality check
  • Ability to communicate well at all levels, including trainers, senior operators and team leaders
  • To identify the right quality standards and to check production against these
  • To operate production lines and make minor adjustments if required
  • To take part in improvement activities
  • To advise the logistics department when materials are required or when finished product is available

Essential Requirements

  • To understand all safety rules and promote a safe environment to the correct standard
  • To understand all quality rules and promote a quality environment to the correct standard
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, be reliable and have excellent timekeeping and attendance
  • Be happy to work in a food standard environment, no jewellery, make up, strong perfumes etc.
  • Be happy to wear hair net, overcoat and safety shoes

Working Hours

Standard hours Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm with flexibility, 37.5 hours per week.

Package

£13.13 per hour (37.5 hours per week) 12-week temp to perm contract. All training provided.
