Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5:00pm, Friday 8:30am-1:00pm
Pertemps Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HSE Manager to join a busy manufacturing site based in Ryde. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on Health, Safety & Environmental professional looking for an immediate contract role, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial 3 months.
The Role
- Reporting to the General Manager, you will take full responsibility for Health, Safety and Environmental activities across the site, ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and driving continuous improvement.
- Managing and maintaining HSE systems and procedures
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Leading accident, incident and near-miss investigations
- Carrying out risk assessments and supporting audits
- Promoting safe working practices across the business
- Supporting environmental compliance, waste control and energy management
- Producing HSE reports and KPI data
- Acting as the main contact for external HSE bodies and inspections
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
About You
- The ideal candidate will have previous HSE experience within a manufacturing environment and be confident working in a standalone role.
- NEBOSH Certificate qualification minimum
- Manufacturing or industrial experience
- Good understanding of UK HSE legislation
- Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- The ability to influence and engage employees at all levels
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Environmental qualifications or further NEBOSH study would be beneficial but not essential.
