Driver Hire Gatwick is seeking an experienced HGV mechanic to join one of our most prestigious clients in Horsham. You will be part of a team responsible for assisting with the fleet maintenance and ensuring that the vehicles comply with current legislation and safety inspections. Experience within an LGV/PSV environment is preferable however not required.

Key Duties:

  • Carry out daily safety inspections to the vehicle fleet
  • Complete relevant documentation regarding vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Deliver high standard of customer service
  • Participate in the training and learning of alternative fuelled vehicles, either battery, electric or hydrogen.

Requirements:

  • Experience of HGV mechanical engineering
  • You must hold a Class 2 driving licence
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
  • Availability from Monday to Friday
  • Own transport to get to and from the workplace

Benefits:

  • Competitive pay rate of £23.00ph to £24.00 Umbrella
  • Annual salary when you get a permanent contract will be £36,400 (plus supplement)
  • Permanent work available depending on performance
  • Triple pay on Bank holidays
