Our client, a leading automotive service centre and tyre retailer with multiple locations across the UK, is seeking an experienced MOT Technician to join their busy team in Banbury. This is a fantastic opportunity for skilled professionals to work within a reputable and expanding organisation that values technical expertise and customer service.
Benefits
- Competitive salary ranging from 36,000 to 38,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience
- Uncapped monthly bonus scheme averaging over 3,600
- 42.5-hour working week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:30pm and one in two Saturdays 8:00am-4:00pm (with a day off in the week when working a Saturday)
- 32 days annual leave, including bank holidays, plus your birthday off

Duties
- Conduct MOT tests on customer vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
- Diagnose mechanical issues and conduct service and repair work
- Provide workshop support for various vehicle maintenance tasks
- Assist with customer enquiries at reception when required
- Ensure work is completed within specified timeframes while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and vehicle details
- Uphold safety standards and workshop policies at all times as an MOT Technician
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MOT Technician, whether through employment or apprenticeship
- Valid MOT licence and UK driving licence held for at least 6 months with minimal penalty points
- Ability to produce high-quality work within tight deadlines
- Friendly, approachable manner with good communication skills
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of Banbury
- Mechanical aptitude complemented by customer service skills
- Flexibility to work one in two Saturdays as part of the rota
