We are looking for a skilled, hands-on Machinist to lead a team for our St Ives based client in their packaging gluing department.
You will be responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining state-of-the-art Bobst and Baumer HHS gluing equipment. You will play a vital role in ensuring all cartons meet the exceptional quality standards customers expect.
Responsibilities:- Set up and operate gluing machines for all carton styles, including undersize, straight-line, crash lock and integral fitments
- Maintain consistent quality standards across production runs
- Lead a small team and report directly to the Gluing Manager
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently
- Work with precision and attention to detail under tight deadlines
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and output
- Uphold the company’s reputation for high-quality materials, cartons and finishes
- Proven experience operating folding carton gluing machines
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced production environment
