The Supply Register are a managed service working alongside 5 multi academy trusts within Devon & Cornwall including Dartmoor Academy Trust, WAVE Academy Trust and Transforming Futures Trust.

We are seeking a responsible and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment when teachers are absent. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students stay on task.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students complete assigned work.
  • Manage student behaviour and ensure a safe, orderly classroom environment.
  • Provide support to individual students where necessary.
  • Ensure a high standard of safeguarding and student welfare at all times.
  • Assist with other duties as required, such as exam invigilation or supporting school events.

About You

  • A strong commitment to education and student development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Previous experience working with young people (experience in an educational setting is desirable).
  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics; further qualifications in education or a related field are a plus.
