Aspire People are currently recruiting for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support within KS2 at a supportive and well-established primary school. The school is looking for a confident HLTA who can take initiative, lead small-group learning, and confidently cover classes when needed. Experience supporting Upper KS2 pupils would be highly beneficial. This position would suit someone passionate about helping pupils prepare for increased academic expectations while supporting both attainment and confidence.

The Role

  • Supporting teaching and learning across KS2
  • Delivering booster and intervention sessions in Maths and English
  • Covering classes when required using pre-planned work
  • Supporting pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
  • Assisting teachers with planning resources and classroom preparation
  • Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and independence

The Successful Candidate Will

  • Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Have strong KS2 curriculum knowledge
  • Be confident managing classroom behaviour independently
  • Have recent experience within a UK primary school
  • Be passionate about supporting pupil progress and achievement
