TeacherActive is recruiting on behalf of a mainstream secondary school in the Derby area for a History teacher to start on a long term basis in June 2026. The school is a well-subscribed secondary school with a vibrant community feel and a friendly, supportive staff-base. The school boasts fantastic facilities and offers opportunities both within and outside lessons to promote student engagement, helping them flourish personally and academically.

The school is looking to take on a History Teacher to work across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including exam preparation for GCSEs. The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results in the subject, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

Qualifications
  • QTS with History or Humanities specialism (ECTs are also welcomed)
  • Experience teaching History up to Key Stage 4
  • Excellent classroom management
