HGV Technician Heathrow, London
Up to £23.00 per hour DOE
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - Rotating Shifts 06:00 - 14:30, 14:30 - 23:00
Optional Saturday Overtime 07:00 - 13:00. Overtime paid at enhanced rates of up to £31.50 per hour.
The Role
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a fleet of commercial vehicles to the highest safety and performance standards. Working within a well‑equipped workshop, you'll use advanced diagnostic equipment and manufacturer procedures to keep vehicles operating efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, inspections, and repairs on HGVs.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Complete maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer standards.
- Accurately complete job cards and workshop documentation.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Support workshop productivity and vehicle uptime.
- Assist with fault diagnosis and advanced troubleshooting.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.

Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
- Previous experience working on HGVs or commercial vehicles.
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills.
- Positive and proactive approach to work.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- HGV Licence advantageous but not essential.
