What You Will Be Doing

  • Performing major and minor repairs to HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards
  • Carrying out inspections, routine maintenance and preventative servicing as an experienced HGV Mechanic
  • Diagnosing faults and planning repairs using diagnostic tools and schematics
  • Completing job cards, service records and warranty paperwork accurately
  • Providing emergency roadside support when called out
  • Maintaining workshop cleanliness, stock and safety standards

What You Will Need

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician within a commercial vehicle environment
  • Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance
  • Ability to identify worn and faulty components to DVSA standards
  • Full UK driving licence for relevant vehicle classes
  • Reliable problem solver with a strong team ethic
