Job Overview
Simon Acres Group are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our highly successful and well-established client in the Kitchen manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to the company's clients, ensuring timely schedules and excellent customer service. This role is ideal for someone with a strong work ethic, good driving record, and a professional attitude.
Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a Class 2 (Category C) HGV in a safe and responsible manner
- Carry out multi-drop deliveries across designated routes
- Ensure all loads are secured correctly and comply with safety regulations
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries via 'scan on/scan off' software
- Maintain accurate records of mileage and fuel usage
- Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and procedures, including tachograph and driver hour regulations
Requirements
- Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
- Up-to-date CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
- Previous experience in a similar role within a similar industry (preferred but not essential)
- Good knowledge of road transport laws and health & safety
- This role requires a degree of physical labour/manual lifting from the driver and driver's assistant when delivering/unloading the products
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and attitude
- Overnights required (Night Out Allowance provided + Enhanced Bonus for consecutive nights out)
