Shifts: Monday to Friday, starting from 02:00

We are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our operation on a temp to perm basis. The role will primarily involve wagon and drag work, although we have recently introduced two artic units into the fleet. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for stable, long-term work with a growing operation.

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out vehicle checks and ensure vehicles are roadworthy before departure
  • Complete deliveries and collections safely and efficiently
  • Operate primarily wagon and drag combinations, with occasional artic work
  • Ensure compliance with drivers' hours, Working Time Directive, and road transport regulations
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and customer service
  • Accurately complete all relevant paperwork and delivery documentation
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures at all times
  • Drivers will be expected to complete between 1 and 3 nights out per week, although this is currently typically 1 to 2 nights out.
RequirementsEssential
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
  • Flexible and professional approach to work
Desirable
  • Previous wagon and drag experience
  • Experience in general haulage or multi-drop operations
