The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting Class 1 (C&E Drivers) on behalf of EVRi Hub, Barnsley.
Hours: Choose your own days of work and start times by providing a 2-hour window from 14:00-03:00. Please note you must be able to provide availability on a Friday OR Sunday (This does not mean you will be working one of these days every week).
PAYE Rates:
- (PAYE 6AM onwards): Monday to Thursday, £16.21, Friday £16.95, Saturday £17.87 & Sunday £18.20
- (PAYE 2PM onwards): Monday to Thursday £16.87, Friday £17.60, Saturday £18.29, Sunday £18.61
- (PAYE 10PM onwards): Monday to Friday £17.59, Saturday £20.69 & Sunday £21.96
PAYE ROLLEDUP Rates:
- (RU 6AM onwards): Monday to Thursday £18.17, Friday £19.00, Saturday £20.03 & Sunday £20.40
- (RU 2PM onwards): Monday to Thursday £18.91, Friday £19.72, Saturday £20.50, Sunday £20.86
- (RU 10PM onwards): Monday to Thursday £19.71, Friday £20.28, Saturday £23.19 & Sunday £24.61
Location: Barnsley, S74. Job Type: Ongoing.
The role: Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels. Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards. Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road. Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
- 1 years' experience required. However, we do have other opportunities for drivers with limited experience.
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Successful completion of assessment, including theory element which is two questionnaires based on drivers' hours and road laws and a practical element which will be based on yard reversing and a short driving test.
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- A safety-first mindset.
