We are seeking a skilled and reliable HGV Class 1 ADR Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, as well as the ability to handle various types of cargo, mainly drummed and packaged goods. 6am starts - 10-12 hour shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, following all road regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of flatbed loads.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each journey.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during transport.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to safety and transportation.

Skills

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, with a valid HGV Class 1 licence.
  • A valid ADR licence is essential.
  • Experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for driving.
  • Ability to operate flatbed vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
