We are seeking a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor to join a high end housebuilding team delivering bespoke residential developments. You will be responsible for managing project costs, ensuring commercial control, and supporting the successful delivery of quality-driven builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all cost control from pre-construction through to final account
- Prepare budgets, valuations, forecasts, and cost reports
- Handle subcontractor procurement, tender analysis, and negotiation
- Monitor costs against budget and report variances early
- Process valuations, variations, and final accounts accurately
- Work closely with Site Managers and Project Managers to ensure commercial alignment
- Support value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within housebuilding
- Experience working on high end residential projects preferred
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and cost management
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Degree or professional qualification (RICS or working towards preferred)
